SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – California Gov. Gavin Newsom plans to meet with the Biden administration this week to discuss smoke-free cars and charities — issues that have been on the agenda in the past. President-elect Donald Trump.

That’s how we’ll be able to counter him better.

Speaking to Fox 11 Los Angeles, Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff said he is ready to work with Trump to lower costs and boost the economy.

But “if he moves to try to take away Californians’ rights and freedoms, if he moves to try to tear down the pillars of our democracy, like before, he’s going to meet a strong opponent in me,” Schiff said. “I will do whatever it takes to protect the rights and freedoms of my constituents.”
